It began with a story being told

Forget Me Not Life Stories was founded by Christine Norton who started by writing her father’s life story in 2009.  The service to preserve family histories in beautifully designed ‘coffee-table quality’ books was born.
Over the following years, the business grew and in 2018 seven life story writers had joined the franchise dotted throughout the country. Consistently high standards in writing, design and print, together with customised personal service have become the cornerstone of Forget Me Not Life Stories’ success.
Today we have completed two video community history projects and delivered many books ranging from small booklets and tributes to company histories and substantial family legacies.
We work with people who have already started writing their life story or who are well down the track in their project, and with those who are yet to pick up a pen or would prefer to be interviewed.
In 2020 Forget Me Not Life Stories’ Bay of Plenty Writing Partner, Kate McCarthy bought the business having worked under Christine’s guidance for five years.
Since Kate started writing life stories in 2015, she has seen a significant increase in interest to preserve ancestry and family history and recognition of the importance to ‘write it down.’
